Ask Tiffany: From agency to full time Private Practice with Yunetta Smith

I am sharing a bonus Ask Tiffany episode this week because you LOVE it.

Okay, okay. Not that you necessarily love aaaAAAall the episodes, but I continue to get an overwhelmingly positive response when I feature real therapists who are making it happen in their own practices.

Therapist like Yunetta Smith! Yunetta is currently at an agency job, but she is rearing up to go out on her own in private practice. You hear a ton about therapists who have already made the leap, but in this episode you get to hear the mindset, challenges, wins and next steps of a therapist who is right smack dab in the freaggin’ middle of the process.

You’ll get to hear:

  • Why Yunetta’s wrapping it up at the agency job
  • How she leaned in and addressed her money mindset blocks
  • What she is putting in place before she leaves her job
  • How she raised her fees, despite her fear

Plus, Yunetta is going to issue YOU a challenge at the end of this episode to go from broke to baller in 2018.

Check it out.

Yunetta is such an inspiration to me as a new practitioner! I recently asked to join a private practice and I rely on you out there to lead me to doing things right — the first time. Just wow! I can’t help but think that all of these smarts about money and TALKING about money will make Yunetta a top notch couples therapist, since so many relationship problems stem from money. Thanks for all you do, Tiffany.

Thanks for your comments, BLT! You are super well-equipped to join that practice while also holding yourself in mind as a business owner. Being able to think about, talk about and actually ACCEPT money for the service you provide will set you on a path to success.

You go, Yunetta!! I’m so proud of you for all the changes you’re making – and your courage to share via video w/ Tiffany! Woohoo!

As for tips for leaping into private practice, I started there out the gate from grad school. It has by no means been easy, and I’ve had to supplement my practice with side jobs here and there – but! – I absolutely LOVE my practice, the freedom it affords me as it continues to build and grow (especially post-LIMB!), and the joy and confidence I experience as a private practice entrepreneur. It can’t be beat!

In other words, GO FOR IT!!
