The Lean In. Make Bank. Academy is an online continuing education business for ambitious, purpose-driven therapists and social workers in private practice. Through our courses & programs, we help them earn more money while increasing their capacity for joy, freedom and service. 

Currently, we have a full-time, remote position for a savvy, energetic Sales & Marketing Coordinator.

We’re looking for someone who is equal parts people-person, straight-A student and online figure-it-outer. 

You know, the type of person who majored in Marketing, minored in Creative Writing, dabbled in economics and waded into social media graphic design just for fun. Or at least, your browser history and bookshelf makes it LOOK like that’s what you studied. After all, your interests are as diverse as your talents.

At the end of the day, though, what you love most is finding out what makes people tick. That’s why you’re a marketer: because you get a thrill each time you figure out exactly how to convince people to follow their dreams, even if they’re filled with doubts about their own potential. 

And, while you would probably never say this out loud, you always got frustrated with group projects because you were smarter, more organized and more disciplined than all of your group members. You always wished that you could be part of a squad that was as motivated, creative and ambitious as you.

We are a small, nimble team of dynamic humans. Via our signature program The Lean In. MAKE BANK. Academy, we help ambitious, purpose-driven therapists and social workers in private practice earn more while increasing their capacity for joy, freedom and service. 

Our students, primarily women and/or BIPOC, are thoughtful, intelligent, funny and care deeply about the clients they serve, often to the neglect of their own emotional and financial well being. 

They experience a triple-fold conflict when it comes to helping the people they are called to serve. 

  • First, like us, they believe all people deserve quality mental health care, but this value leaves them caught in a cycle of undercharging and overworking.
  • Secondly, like all of us, they have come of age in racist and misogynistic system(2) that says the work of women and BIPOC is not of value, leaving them with the underlying belief that they do not deserve financial success.
  • Thirdly, they’ve entered into a helping profession that reinforces a false binary that says, “Therapists can either make money or help people. They cannot do both.” 

We want to change these narratives ☝🏾. We know it is possible for our therapists to make bank and help people. Through our program, we empower our students to fight for themselves as a first step in changing the system.

Your Job #1 As Our Online Sales & Marketing Coordinator:

Your primary responsibility as the Sales & Marketing Coordinator is to execute our sales strategy to increase student enrollments. 

What does that mean, you ask? Allow me to lay it out in detail. 

Attract and enroll new students into The Lean In. MAKE BANK. Academy, which will include, but not be limited to, owning the following activities:

  • Coordinate podcast production including liaising with production team, outlining episodes, and working with our fabulous Social Media Creator to promote content through social media channels and email list.
  • Produce mouth watering organic social media, email and related content in coordination with the Sales Strategist.
  • Liaison with that very same fabulous Social Media Creator to ensure quarterly marketing campaigns are coordinated across all platforms: Instagram, Podcast, Email list.

Increase enrollment each quarter through paid ad strategies, which will include, but not be limited to, owning the following activities:

  • Utilize our rapid testing method to create copy,  graphics and CTAs that meet our conversion targets. 
  • Work with our Sales Strategist to create and track Facebook ads that meet or exceed our KPI benchmarks. When applying for this position, please creatively insert the word “goldfish” into one of your responses.
  • Create or improve upon opt-ins, leadpages, webinars and email funnels so that they meet or exceed conversion funnel benchmarks. (We use Active Campaign, Leadpages, Thrivecart, EasyWebinar, Deadline Funnels and Zapier to run our funnels)Weekly tracking of reporting on paid ad KPI’s (ie. FB CTR, ROAS, CPL) to ensure they are at or exceeding benchmarks. (If you don’t know what any of these acronyms mean, run like the wind. 🏃🏾‍♀️💨)

Identify and implement organic sales strategies to increase enrollment each quarter, which may include, but will not be limited to, owning the following activities:

  • Identify and coordinate JV partnerships to increase audience reach and enrollments  because you looOOOU-U-U-V-uh making connections and building relationships.
  • Identify podcast guest opportunities to reach new audiences.
  • Increase enrollment by nurturing relationships with our audience through email, IG and DM’s via Social Selling Strategies.Create systems to identify and implement ongoing strategies to increase organic enrollment.
  • Weekly tracking of and reporting on organic KPI’s.

Ideal Qualifications

Here’s the deal, according to research women are 16% less likely than men to apply for a job, after viewing it and evidence suggests that many will only apply for jobs they feel 100% qualified for. SO! Break that ceiling. 

We encourage you to apply if you feel you can do the job, even if you don’t exactly meet all of these qualifications.

  • 1-2 years minimum working in the online space working with software tools like FB Ads Manager, Leadpages, Active Campaign, Wordpress, Zapier, Deadline Funnels, Thrivecart, etc. and the ability to figure out software quickly.
  • Excellent copywriting skills, with 1 year minimum experience writing copy that converts. 
  • Experience creating and analyzing sales funnels - be that paid or organic - in the online course space. 

Compensation Details

The compensation for this role starts at $4,000/month.

Because we know there is a massive discrepancy in pay based on an individual's ability to negotiate their salary and this discrepancy does not favor women and minorities, we do not negotiate starting pay. We do offer the opportunity to reevaluate your compensation at the end of a 90 day probationary period.

Compensation includes paid holidays. Your work hours are flexible, with exceptions for required meetings (because YES! Our meetings ROCK. No, we’re not being sarcastic. They really do. 🪨). Meetings are held during morning hours PST.
